Ms Magdalena Mieloszyk was born in 1982 in Gdansk. In years 2000-2006 she studied at the Gdansk University of Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The title of her M.Sc. thesis was „Microstructure and some properties of boride layers on steel”.
In November 2006 she started working at the Szewalski Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery in the Department of Mechanics of Intelligent Structures. Her scientific interests are focused on structural health monitoring and the fibre optic sensors (especially fibre Bragg grating sensors). In 2011 she obtained her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Szewalski Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery. The title of her Ph.D. thesis was „Fibre Bragg grating sensors for structural health monitoring applications”. Her PhD thesis was awarded by the resolution of the Scientific Board of the Institute.
